Testimonial from Youth Emergency Services

July 11th 2016

Dear Mark and the Board of Mobility for Humanity,

Somewhere in the Omaha metro, a young person is calling for help. And because of you, a caring voice answers.

Thank you so much for the donation to Youth Emergency Services of a van. You generosity is truly at the heart of all we do. You make all the difference in the world for the homeless and at-risk youth in our community. Your kind contribution means we can continue to fulfill our mission - to serve homeless and at-risk youth by providing critically-needed resources which empower them to become self-sufficient.

The van has been invaluable since it was donated in April. It has brought much needed advertising to our small but might agency. More importantly, it has been used to do street outreach. Street Outreach is conduct outreach to build trust and relationships between staff and street youth. The YES street outreach program serves to protect runaway and homeless youth and youth on the streets who have been, or are at risk of being, sexually abused and exploited. We offer a range of education, intervention, and prevention services to provide positive alternatives for youth, ensure their safety, and maximize their ability to take advantage of available opportunities.

As you read this, young people are waiting outside YES for a hot meal, a shelter bed, a chance to start over. Through your gift, you celebrate their humanity and their hopes. From the bottom of our hearts, and those we serve, thank you!

Sincerely,

Allison Brown-Corson

Director of Donor and Community Relations
